The WRO is an international robot contest designed to cultivate the creativity and problem-solving skills of young scientists.

The first WRO was held in Singapore in 2004, followed by Bangkok Thailand, Nanjing China, Taipei Taiwan,
Yokohama Japan, and Pohang Korea in 2009.
Over the years, it has developed into a major robotics competition attracting
more than one thousand participants from 32 countries.

The WRO consists of the Regular Category, in which missions are carried out using robots, and the Open Category,
in which robots are created according to a given theme. For 3 days, participants from all around the world interact
and learn about different cultures.
